And the story continues....
Last time on zidalia.blogspot.com :
We got on a train headed nach Berlin for the adventure of a life time, ready to meet our husbands, done with goodbyes (for now), and excited to get a full nights sleep.
Then the worst possible thing happens (you might want to be sitting down for this one), there's a BABY on board! Not just any baby, a screaming baby. Now usually we think babies are cute, in fact we were almost about to comment on its adorableness before realizing what this meant for our night ahead. Luckily, your heroic bloggers made it through the crying and successfully fell asleep.
THEN when we thought nothing worse could happen...dun dun dun...it did. THE SNORER ATTACKED. Sitting directly behind us was the worlds loudest snorer. Now you might be thinking, ya ya ya they're exaggerating, WE AREN'T. Seriously. He was so loud every single person in our car was awake, he was the only one who could sleep. The question on everyone's mind was, "How could he not be waking himself up??" Soon it was clear there were three stages to deal with this grief,
1. Get mad.
2. Start laughing uncontrollably anytime he snored and spasmed, hitting the backs of our chairs.
3. Get mad again.
One of the people in our car added a forth step- start recording his snoring with your phone and play it back over his real life snoring. After that you must revert back to step 2 again and repeat. Needless to say, it really was 10 hours of our life but we did arrive in Berlin safely.
We managed to pack in a ton of things in our first day here. On our way to brunch we explored (with Lars as our trusty tour-guide!) a space for street and graffiti artists, which also had a club, skatepark, and outdoor rock climbing walls. After a delicious all you can eat brunch we headed to the East Side Gallery of the Berlin wall. #whatyoudoinberlin #amirigggght?
This was one of our fav quotes from the wall.
This was top on both our lists of things we wanted to see in Berlin. We didn't expect to see it the first day, but it really set our time in Berlin off on the right note. There is so much spirit and life in the wall, from the original paintings and also from what everyone has added too it over the years. It really was amazing to see a glimpse of what it meant for wall to come down.
Amazing women.
While walking by the wall, Idalia and Lars noticed a strange shuffling sound. It was Zia's feet on the sidewalk. You see, it turns out she doesn't actually ever lift her feet as she walks. #problems #probablywhyallhershoeshaveholesonthebottom
Idalia soon let on that this was NOT the first time she had noticed this...that it is actually pretty apparent. Which led Zia to a mission to learn how to walk properly. Right now, it looks more like a march then a walk but it's getting better each step of the way. We'll keep you in the loop.
Please notice and appreciate (maybe?) the not selfie nature of this picture. #wehavefriendstooyaknow.
After walking around for hours on very little sleep, we decided to get our Berlin book and head to a cute little coffee shop. But we did not get cute little coffees. We got cute BIG coffees. #badjokes #stillhaven'tsleptsincethetrainride

Keeping it real (as always),

Word of the Day:
Der Fahrradweg: Bicycle Path
In München und in Berlin es gibt viele Fahrradwege. Der Fahrradweg ist neben dem Fußweg. Die Leute am Fußweg muss vorsichtig sein weil die Radfahrer schnell gehen. Es ist nicht immer klar was der Fahrradweg ist und was ist der Fußweg. Wir sind immer flink. Flink ist auch ein neues Wort. Flink bedeutet "alert" oder "brisk" auf English.
