Today's grand adventure in the cold started at the Ritter Sport store. But really it was much more than just a store. We went on a journey through the jungle of cocoa beans, a step by step process of the production of chocolate, and watched a video about the history of Ritter Sport (ALL IN DEUTSCH). #canwebefluentnow? After buying the store out of chocolate, we headed to Topography of Terror- a museum built on the grounds of the former SS and Gestapo headquarters. It tells the story of the rise of the Nazi Regime and the impact the SS and Gestapo had on the war, while acknowledging the horrible crimes that occurred on this very soil. Below is a picture of the crumbling walls of the former building. With each place about WWII that we go to, it becomes more and more real and present in every place we go here.
Next, we stopped at "FBI" the hottest restaurant in the area, serving tons of vegan options! This is where we discovered that Idalia also can't be taken anywhere. After the glass breaking, we knew Zia was unsuitable for adult life, but today proved Idalia joins her in the same boat. Idalia couldn't keep her hands still and was playing with the sugar spoon (missing below). But one of her tricks went wrong, suddenly the spoon fell into an endless abyss in the little space between the wall and the bench we were sitting on that goes the length of the wall. Needless to say, that spoon will never be found again. #tragic. We considered knocking the other spoon down with it, just to make it consistent, but didn't want to cause the restaurant that much harm.
However, the restraunt actually deserved it as when we used our word of the day from yesterday "Leitungswasser" to ask for some tap water, they said no!!! WE WERE DENIED TAP WATER. WTF D-LAND #cryingourselvestosleep
Next we went to the Tiergarten, the biggest park in Berlin. We decided it would be much more beautiful in the summer when everything wasn't dead, but we still found a few gems like the one below.... #thisiswhatidalianoticesaboutancientfountains #andshetookapic #perfectlittlebooty
At the edge of the Tiergarten after a long walk, we found this topless statue to take a picture with. #selfiesarehard #itdidactuallyhaveatop #andwasactuallyprettycool #butagainselfiesarehard
On our walk, we found out something else about Zia. She doesn't understand distances. At all. Not one bit. Below is her key to distances.
1 meter = 1000 ft
1 mile = 200 kilometers
1 foot = 150 centimeters
warming up inside with our cold outside sweaters and black bottoms #twinzies
The last stop was this coffee shop, called coffee shop. #creativegermans. #creativemacchiatosdoe

Word of the Day:
Der Kürbis: Pumpkin
Wir haben Kürbis Suppe für Abendessen gegessen. Es war sehr lecker und wir waren sehr satt. Die Suppe hat geröstet Kokosnuss gehabt. Unser Gastgeber, Lars, hat diese Suppe gemacht. Kürbisse brauchen sehr viel Sonnenlicht zu wachsen. Lars hat Kürbisse im Garten aber sie wachsen nicht.
"#perfectlittlebooty" #bestbloggingalavantingals YEAH THE TIERGARTEN IS SO NICE IM SOMMER
