Where the Huck are we?

Wir sind jetzt in München (aka we're now in Munich!)

The picture above is us right before we left Switzerland for our first of many trains today. On our journey, we learned a few key things:

  1. Pasing does not mean "passing." Rather, it is some place in Germany that we happened to pass through...
  2. Germans are quiet. Especially on trains. We are not.
  3. We giggle. Germans don't.
  4. Germans understand everything we say- in German or in English. We don't always understand them. *note to self: remember that next time we're on a train
  5. Train announcements are completely incomprehensible. Follow the crowd of people getting off the train.

Obligatory selfie at the second train station

Zia. Idalia. and a leg.

After a long days travel we arrived in Munich, where Zia's (fantastic) brother, Xaver, picked us up and brought us to their aunt's apartment. We helped make a delicious dinner before we scurried on out to check out the night scene  of Munich. Turns out that means taking a lot of different trains, wandering around lost in the streets of the inner city, and getting denied entry to the hottest club in town because of lack of identification. For the record, we are all over 16 years old. Natürlich, we then went to an Irish Pub instead. Can you say bad gray-haired band still trying to rock, American football, stealing coasters, and amazing beer? Needless to say, we danced our butts off, the whole time surrounded by middle aged men with some sweet moves.

Sleep is now. Guten Nacht!

Word of the Day:

der Fenchel = Fennel

Wir haben einen Salat mit Fenchel gegessen. Nach Abendessen, gehen wir zu einem Klub, aber wir haben unsere Ausweise nicht gehabt. Statt gehen wir zu ein Pub. Wir haben die ganze Nacht getanzt und wir haben Bier getrunken. Jetzt, es ist zeit für Bett. Guten Nacht und bis Morgen!
