Let's talk about what it means to be alive...

Hallöchen!

Did you know that on Sundays in Munich museums only cost 1 Euro?! We did! So, we went to two different museums today and it was a steal. We saw some Van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, Paul Klee, and some badass carpets (shown above). The carpets were by far the fan favorite- we had never really thought of rugs as being art before, but these were truly beautiful. So beautiful, we needed to take a selfie in front of them...

Don't mind Zia's face... she was actually really happy

This was clearly the best rug, so we also needed a pic with it. It consented. It likes us too.

After our day at the museums, we found the cheapest restaurant in Munich and had some good ol' falafel. Once we regained some energy, we skipped right on over to the Olympic park. For the 1972 Olympics, a park full of man-made hills and an overpowering structure to (kind of) mimic the fake hills were created in Munich. The structures house the stadium, pool, and soccer field used in the Olympics. Here's the grand view:

We ended the night with a nice dinner back at Zia's Aunt's house, the home of the best salad dressing maker in the world.

Bis Morgen!

P.S. Today was also very philosophical, as we spoke about what it really means to be alive over an afternoon tea at Xaver's apartment. We decided nothing.

Word of the Day:
