Schrobenhausen: The Grocery Shopping Trip You'll Never Forget

 Wazzup from Bavaria!

In the charming selfie above we are waiting at the wrong track for a train to Schrobenhausen. Due to the lack of signage, we ended up getting on a train that we were only pretty sure went to the right stop. Luckily, we were right, point 1 zidalia, point 0 Munich HB. So, now we're in Schrobenhausen with Zia's Oma and a whole lot of christmas cookies.

Schrobenhausen is a small bavarian town surrounded by farmland and the main town is surrounded by a wall with a moat. #royal. Here's a glimpse:

A little after we arrived, we set foot to the nearby supermarket. We walked all through the surprisingly crowded town that was bursting with people, cars, and bakeries. Idalia, of course, had the inclination to jaywalk. Idalia quickly pointed out, "you can take the girl out of New York, but you cant take New York out of the girl" AmIRightttt? #duh #selfaffirmation

In the Supermarket, after a completely comprehensible conversation auf Deutsch, we were asked if we actually weren't from Germany. HOW DID THEY KNOW? #notfittinginaswellaswethinkweare #incognito #wewouldbebadspies
She got super stoked that we were from da states doe because what would two young attractive american ladies be doing in Schrobenhausen?? #visitingoma
On our way back, we stopped at a Gemüse und Obst (Veggie and Fruit) store where we were tisked at by some annoyed germans. #noonespeaksenglishhere but don't worry, we're getting better as Zia's Oma also knows zero english.

 #USAcelebs

Also wanted to give a quick shout out to Germany and Switzerland for knowing how to use Hazelnuts right. Idalia shed a single tear of happiness when she tried Hazelnut milk for the very first time. Just assume that's all she'll be drinking for the rest of her life. #stockingup #buyinganewsuitcaseJUSTforhazelnutmilk #hopeitdoesn'tspill

With hazelnuts and happiness,

-Zidalia

Word of the Day:

der Himmel: sky

Der Himmel in Schrobenhausen ist unglaublich schön. Er ist so blau, hell, und groß. Heute war es einen wunderschönen Tag. Wir haben den Frühling nach Schrobenhausen gebracht. Die Sonne hat den ganzen Tag geschienen. Wir haben für mehr als drei Stunden mit Zia's Oma auf Deutsch gesprochen.
